Oldschool Newschool

11/22/2011

My work, Massey University celebrated 125 years since the development of the first art and design school in New Zealand. I was heavily involved in the development of the digital content for the exhibition and part of the development team. I also have two f my works featured within the exhibition. Toy sculpture “Richard Henry” and wearable arts costume “Kanak”.

These are a selection of images of the exhibition, unfortunately the digital components don’t really photograph well, but they were very cool little mini theatres in a box.

” From the School of Design established by Arthur Riley in 1886 to the Technical School of Art and the Wellington Polytechnic that followed, for 125 years the College of Creative Arts has been producing designs that work. While some designers may not be known by name, their products will be recognised, and indeed are probably used daily across the globe, without reference to the creative intelligence that produced them. “
